Changes to Licence and Signage

Consumer and Business Services have recently updated all the Liquor Licences and signage.

What does this mean for you?

You need to replace all your old signage and licence with the new ones provided by Consumer and Business Services.

Failure to comply with the signage requirements if an offence

Maximum Penalty $10,000

Expiation Fee $500

What signs do you need to put up?
Consumption on the Licensed Premises

All premises must display this sign (LGC2019-1)

If you trade after Midnight you must also display this sign (LGC2019-2)

Packaged Liquor Sale Licence 

You must display this sign only if you are selling on-site for consumption or sampling. No signage for sellers (LGC2019-3)

Restriction of Minors 

Holders of a licence not permitting people under 18 in a particular area of the licensed premises must display this sign at entrances (LGC2019-4)

Holders of a licence not permitting people under 18 from entering the licensed premises must display this sign at all entrances to the licensed premises (LGC2019-5)

Holders of a licence not permitting people under 18 from entering or remaining on the licensed premises after 9pm must display this sign at all entrances to the licensed premises
