Lion Liquor Licensing Consultants will complete the licensing process for you hassle free. We will work through the licensing process from the application, assessment to final approval.

Here at Lion Liquor Licensing Consultants, we believe in providing our clients with fair and transparent fees. We do not charge by the hour and stick to our fixed price guarantee.

We will beat any genuine quote by 10%

We also have a pay by the month option for all the fees (an interest charge applies approximately 9-12%)

How much does a licence cost?

Depending on the type of licence and complexity of the matter, the average cost for us to apply for a licence on your behalf is $1150 – $1675 + GST. Once you have completed the questionnaire we can give you the exact fixed cost for the licence process. Please note this does not include Government application fees and third-party fees that are required to complete the process.

Why should I use a consultant?

How long does the process take?

Once we get all the relevant is provided to us it takes around 4 weeks to get the licence once lodged provided everything is in order.

What type of issues may I encounter?

There are a number of issues that could arise in applying for a licence which we will guide you through

  1. Objections from Neighbours or surrounding businesses
  2. Objections from SAPOL
  3. Incorrect landuse
  4. Hours of Operation
  5. Capacity
  6. Criminal History and associations

Depending on the complexity of the issues we will do our best to resolve this for you however we may require reports from third parties to assist with the approval of the licence for which we will guide you through

Payment Plan Options

Take the stress out of the fees by setting up a payment plan for all your applications fees which can be done paperless in less than 1 Minute. The payment plan allows you to spread all the fees over 4 installment payments. (Please note that interest charges apply which will be calculated upon application)

What is a Personal Information Declaration (PID) and who needs to apply for one?

All licensees, partners, directors, shareholders and specifically named beneficiaries will need to fill in a PID form as part of the licensing process. They will send a link to fill out their personal details and provide required to provide 100 points of ID. This will be sent to SAPOL for a criminal history check.

Who needs an International Criminal History Check (ICHC)?

If you have lived overseas for more than one year, you will need to complete an ICHC. A link will be sent to you to complete this.

I have a criminal history will this be an issue?

Depending on the nature of the offence history and frequency, this may preclude you from obtaining a licence, but we will discuss this with you before we start the process.

What documents do I need for the application?

This will depend on the application for which we will provide you with a list. It will typically include a floor plan, letters of consent and details of third parties involved in the process, such as landlords and property managers.

Are there any other fees after my licence is granted?

Yes, there will be an annual fee that will be sent to you directly from the government via email at the beginning of every financial year. This fee will be determined by your licence and the conditions you have.

If my application is unsuccessful or if I change my mind during the process, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, the application fees are for lodgement and not based on success so there is no refund of fees. If however, no assessment has been done, we can try and recover as many fees as possible.
