Growing up on Kangaroo Island we were surrounded by good food since the very start. From our Grandmother who can’t drive past a fig tree without making jam to our Mother who launched one of Adelaide’s first pesto and tapenade businesses. We even had a restaurant in our lounge room which transformed with a cloak over the TV every Friday and Saturday night.

In 2015 we bought a food truck and named her Cargo. We began travelling the state of SA to serve our globally inspired street food at public events. Soon our passion to cook and serve the best food alongside our brand of thoughtful hospitality guided us toward catering. We stopped ‘trucking’ and became a fully fledged catering business. Cargo Catering Co. offers a high end service of premium canapés and long table feasts.

Not the type to rest on our laurels, a chance Gumtree find, and many months of restoration and renovation gave us The Speakeasy Hotel. Our Hollywood Art Deco themed mobile bar, equipped with a sparkling crystal chandelier, allowed us to provide a premium beverage service for those that value a good drink.

We love Adelaide. From urban foraging lemons and figs to blatantly trespassing on the search for the enigmatic Adelaide Hills porcini. The Central Market feels like home and the local restaurant scene is loaded with inspiration. Adelaide is just the place for three sisters to indulge their passion and run our very own cafe and catering business.
